When the Faith Film Collective Distribution Cohort was first introduced, the goal was simple: to help a group of faith-based filmmakers think about distribution before they roll cameras.
Too many filmmakers wait until their film is finished before asking important questions about audience, marketing, and distribution. I wanted to create an opportunity where filmmakers could begin thinking about those things earlier and have the support, resources, and connections to make better decisions.
As I have talked with filmmakers about the cohort, I realized something: Every film project is different. And every filmmaker needed something different. So, I decided to pivot and come alongside filmmakers through a more personalized colab.
Introducing the Faith Film Collective Distribution Colab
The Distribution Colab is an opportunity to work more directly with you and your team (up to 6) to identify the opportunities and challenges surrounding your project and develop a practical path forward.
The structure is the same as the cohort, but with a more personalized approach based on your need for your film. I want to come alongside you, listen to where you are in the process, understand what you’re trying to accomplish, help you identify practical next steps, and connect you with other industry professionals.
My experience working with faith-based filmmakers has shown that there is no single formula for getting a film from production to audience. I am excited about this new direction and the opportunity to work more personally with filmmakers and their projects.
If you’re a faith-based filmmaker who is developing a film or preparing for production, I’d love to hear about your project. Click here to learn more about the Distribution Colab and set-up a discovery call.
